PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Raffles Institution, Singapore plans a worthwhile project called Poverty, Our Fight.  This project is aimed at providing the poor in Singapore the chance to improve their lives by breaking out of their poverty cycle.  This project focuses mainly on helping the poor get back on their feet in society through means like micro-financing and creation of centres that can help counsel and advise.  With ‘Poverty Day’ RI boys plan to raise awareness about poverty as well as engage the wider local community to lend a helping hand in establishing a range of donors and volunteers.  They hope to launch a project known as ‘Blue-Yellow Ribbon Project’.

Representing Raffles Instituion are Paul Lim (teacher), Chan Wei Jin, Chu Shao Min, Kim Min Seok (students).
